THE FIRM

Mugo and Company is a firm of certified public accountants founded and registered since 1984.

Over this period of time, the firm has grown from a small firm to its size today which is medium with a team of 18 professional staff consisting of several qualified accountants who are members of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya.

The firm has two full time partners supported by several firm associates and staff who are all qualified.

In addition, the firm has in its strength, support staff who are training to qualify as accountants including administration staff who also work towards service delivery to our clients. We pride ourselves for having been retained to serve majority of our clients for a long time.

We work closely with our clients inorder to assist them attain their objective and have seen small client enterprises grow in strength over time with our professional guidance and participation.

Our clients range from private companies to public and government corporations.
We have performed and continue to work for non governmental based organisation locally and internationally.

Management team

The management is headed by a team of three persons namely: The partner managing, the partner and quality assurance and client service manager. Edward W. Mugo is the managing partner, Peter K. Maina the partner, Scott B. Karanja, the Audit and Quality Assurance manager.

  • Mr. Mugo is Bcom graduate with Masters in Finance, a CPA(K) and CPS(K) and is carrying his PhD research in finance through University of Nairobi. He is of 30 years standing experience in the profession.
  • Mr. Maina is a Certified Public Accountant and is specialized in auditing and taxation. He has 20 years experience in the profession.
  • Mr. Karanja is Bcom graduate, CPA(K) and CPS(K) and currently writing to get masters from Nairobi University. He has 8 years post qualification experience.
